Turkmenistan opens 10 automobile checkpoints across the state border for cargo transport
From November 7, 2022, drivers of foreign and Turkmen vehicles will be allowed to enter, exit and transit through the territory of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the official website of the Agency “Turkmenavtoulaglary” of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
Entry/exit of vehicles is allowed subject to all necessary rules at the following border crossings:
- Turkmenbashi International Sea Port
- Checkpoint “Artyk” (state border with Iran – checkpoint “Lotfabad”)
- Sarakhs checkpoint (state border with Iran – Sarakhs checkpoint)
- Checkpoint “Garabogaz” (state border with Kazakhstan – checkpoint “Temir Baba”)
- CPP “Golden Age” (state border with Iran – CPP “Incheburun”)
- Checkpoint “Dashoguz” (state border with Uzbekistan – checkpoint “Shavat”)
- Kunya-Urgench checkpoint (state border with Uzbekistan – Khodjeyli checkpoint)
- Farap checkpoint (state border with Uzbekistan – Alat checkpoint)
- Imamnazar checkpoint (state border with Afghanistan – Akina checkpoint)
- Checkpoint “Serhetabat” (state border with Afghanistan – checkpoint “Turgundi”)
Recall that from September 8, 2022, vehicles of foreign states were allowed to transit goods through Turkmenistan .
